Our organisation works with many policies for the welfare and development of persons with disabilities.
Rehabilitation measures are mainly divided into three distinct groups: Physical Rehabilitation Educational Rehabilitation Vocational Rehabilitation Physical Rehabilitation: Early Detection and Intervention: Early detection of disability and intervention through drug or non-drug therapies help in minimizing the impact of disability. Counselling and Medical Rehabilitation: Physical rehabilitation measures include counselling and strengthening the capacities of persons with disabilities (PWD). This includes physiotherapy, psychotherapy, vision stimulation, intervention programs, and special education support. Educational Rehabilitation: Special education is provided to all our students. For children at an early age, one special educator usually teaches a small group of about 7–8 students and helps them develop various skills.
SSA (Sarva Shiksha Abhiyan) also takes part in our educational policies. Under this program various medical camps, assessment camps, and educational support activities are conducted. Learning aids, tools, mobility assistance, and support services are also provided. Policies for Technical and Vocational Education: Technical and vocational education policies are designed to develop and strengthen skills suited for different types of productive activities. These programs help persons with disabilities become more independent and capable of earning their livelihood.
Early detection of disability is very important. In a large number of cases, disabilities are preventable. Therefore, strong emphasis is given to the prevention of disability through awareness and early intervention
